Update 4 Jan 2020: we are not currently running volunteer sessions in the garden

In light of current Tier 4 restrictions in London, we have taken the decision to shut the garden temporarily. Please check back here or sign up to our newsletter for updates on re-opening.

We hope to re-open as soon as it is safe to do so, and we look forward to welcoming you to the garden then!

We're a group of friends and neighbours in Streatham, SW London, who want to grow a stronger, greener community.
Whether you're a green-fingered gardening expert or have never picked up a trowel, we'd love you to join us.
Explore our website to find out what’s 'growing on'!

Railside Community Garden Association was founded by a group of local Streatham residents in 2018. They saw the potential to convert a disused piece of railway land into a beautiful and useful community asset. After many years of hard work and negotiations, their dream is finally becoming a reality.

We're a registered charity and have a lease with Network Rail. Our garden is located between Wellfield Road and Gleneldon Road, next to the railway line... the clue's in our name!

We encourage local people of all ages to join us as members, volunteers or supporters. And if you can help us by donating your time, ideas, money or gifts-in-kind we'd love you to get in touch.

It's time to get digging!
